Note: These terms are provided as a structured framework. Final scholarship terms should be reviewed and finalized by Kent & Brandy before public launch.
1. Eligibility
The Technology Department Scholarship is open to organizations that meet the eligibility criteria defined by Kent & Brandy Technology Partners. Eligibility criteria may include organizational size, geographic location, leadership participation, and technology needs. Kent & Brandy reserves the right to determine eligibility at its sole discretion.
2. Application Requirements
Applicants must complete the full scholarship application, including all required questions and contact information. Applications must be submitted through the official scholarship portal. Incomplete applications may not be considered.
3. Selection Process
Kent & Brandy reviews applications based on organizational fit, technology needs, leadership engagement, and the opportunity to create meaningful value during the 60-day scholarship period. Selection is at the sole discretion of Kent & Brandy. Not all applicants will be selected for a discovery conversation or for the scholarship.
4. Scholarship Period
The scholarship period consists of 60 days of Technology Department as a Service, beginning on a mutually agreed start date. The 60-day period is the total duration of the scholarship engagement.
5. Scope of Services
The scholarship includes technology leadership, technology operations, business systems review, cybersecurity and risk identification, projects and modernization, automation and cloud identification, vendor coordination, and a 12-month technology roadmap. The specific scope will be defined collaboratively at the start of the engagement.
6. Services Not Included
The scholarship does not include unlimited break-fix support, a temporary help desk, one-off technical labor, or services outside the defined scholarship scope. It is designed to demonstrate the value of a technology function, not to provide unlimited technical labor.
7. Third-Party Expenses
Third-party expenses, including software licenses, subscriptions, cloud services, and external vendor fees, are not included in the scholarship and remain the responsibility of the organization.
8. Hardware and Software Costs
Hardware and software costs are not included in the scholarship. The organization is responsible for any hardware, software, or licensing costs incurred during or as a result of the engagement.
9. Geographic Limitations
The scholarship is intended for organizations located within the geographic service area of Kent & Brandy Technology Partners. Organizations outside this area may be considered at the discretion of Kent & Brandy.
10. Leadership Participation Requirements
Selected organizations must have leadership participation in the technology planning and review process. This includes availability for an initial discovery conversation, periodic review meetings, and a final executive technology review.
11. Confidentiality
Kent & Brandy will handle organizational information provided during the application and engagement with appropriate confidentiality. Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information shared during the engagement.
12. Application Data Usage
Application information may be used to evaluate scholarship eligibility, communicate regarding the application, administer the scholarship, and communicate about relevant Kent & Brandy services where the applicant has separately opted in. Application information will not be sold or shared with unrelated third parties.
13. Marketing Communications
Applicants who opt in to marketing communications may receive occasional communications from Kent & Brandy about technology leadership, business technology, cybersecurity, AI and related services. Applicants may opt out at any time. Applying for the scholarship does not automatically subscribe applicants to marketing communications.
14. Right to Modify or Discontinue
Kent & Brandy reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the scholarship program at any time. Any changes to the scholarship terms will be communicated to active applicants and selected organizations.
15. No Purchase Requirement
No purchase is necessary to apply for or be selected for the scholarship. The scholarship is provided at no cost to the selected organization. There is no obligation to engage in paid services after the scholarship period.
16. Continuation After the Scholarship Period
The scholarship is a 60-day engagement. If the organization determines that the model is valuable, continued engagement may be discussed separately. The scholarship does not create any obligation to continue services beyond the 60-day period.
17. Other Applicable Terms
Additional terms may apply based on the specific engagement. Selected organizations will receive a detailed engagement agreement prior to the start of the scholarship period.
